All Church Personnel (all clergy, all employees and any volunteer with ongoing unsupervised contact with minors or vulnerable adults) are required to successfully undergo a criminal background check as a condition of employment or volunteer work. Background checks will be conducted by the Archdiocese of Seattle and renewed every three years.

Background checks are also required from any volunteer with access to cash, checks or other negotiables; any volunteer driving in the course of their volunteer work; and any non-related volunteer in a Catholic school.
